ADial Pharmaceuticals is focused on developing novel and effective medications to treat addiction and addictive behaviors. Our most advanced compound AD04 specifically targets alcohol abuse and dependence through a proprietary dosage. Furthermore, with a simple blood test, a proprietary genetic bio-marker can identify those patients that would be expected to respond to treatment with AD04 (approximately 34% of patients). AD04 was tested in a Phase IIb study in 283 patients and was shown to be effective against both the primary and secondary end points (p<0.05). AD04 is currently being positioned to commence Phase III trials in the second half of 2012. Additionally, AD04 is currently in testing in a large Phase IIb trial for the treatment of cocaine addiction.
