Professor Li is world-renowned for his research into Human Genetics and Genomics, Genetics Epidemiology and Bioinformatics, and the Molecular Neuroscience of Drug Addiction. Currently, Dr. Li is the Jean and Ronald Butcher Eminent Professor and Head of Neurobiology at UVA where he continues to perform ground-breaking research into gene variants tied to drinking severity and into molecular markers that may identify those at risk and tailored treatment methods.
