In her over 26 year career in the pharmaceutical industry with Johnson & Johnson and Merck & Co., Ms. Yarno has held a number of executive positions in the marketing, sales, human resources, and policy areas. She most recently was the Chief Marketing Officer at Merck & Co., Inc. and retired from the company in 2008. She is currently on the Board of Directors of St. Jude Medical, a medical device company, and is the Benton S. Halsey Distinguished Visiting Professor in Chemical Engineering and Related Disciplines at the University of Virginia. Ms. Yarno has an MBA from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA and a B.S. in Marketing from Portland State University in Portland, OR.
